Name: Gypsy
I'm a free spirit...
Gender: Mare
Age: 4.5 years old
And I enjoy my youth...
Breed: Lusitano
Height: 15.1 hands high
I may be small...
Herd: Azrak // Following Mare
Appearance: Gypsy has the coat of a dark brown Lusitano. In the shadows, it appears almost black. But when the light hits it, you can see the lighter parts. She is a solid color, as is for her breed, with no white markings whatsoever. You may think that it would be bad to have a dark colored coat in a desert, but she doesn't really mind the heat. She does however her mane and tail are the same color as her lustrous coat, and are full, long, and slightly wavy. Her eyes are a deep brown, nearly the color of dark chocolate. Her hooves are dark, just like her coat.
Her features are truly that of a Lusitano. Her muzzle is straight, almost Roman-nosed. Her ears are always erect, and listening for sounds, whether they are threatening or friendly. Her cannon bones (the bones directly below her knees) are long, even though she is a rather short mare. Her back is short, and her ribs are well-rounded. Her hindquarters are sloping and her hindlegs are long, once again even though she is short. Her height however doesn’t effect her galloping. She has a short arched neck and a compact body. She is thin, due to a high metabolism. But her home is an oasis, and she is fed enough.
As for scars, she has none. She has never really fought for anything before, and luckily evaded any predators. Or maybe they just stayed away from her, she isn't sure.
But I can hold my own...

Personality: Gypsy is a care free spirit, who enjoys her young age and time that she has. She is caring, and is a bit of a ham. She loves attention, and enjoys being in a crowd. That's why she could never be a rouge. She loves foals, and would love to have one of her own someday. Though her caring side is most prominent, she is also slightly courageous. She stands by her friends no matter what, and will come to the rescue if one should be in trouble.
Gypsy is aslo known to be a very intelligent horse. She can create unique ways to get out of different situations. She also looks for romance frequently. She's young, and she just wants to spend her life with someone who she considers special.
In this unforgiving desert...
History: Gypsy was born partially into the desert and partially in captivity. It was odd. When she was born, she was out in sand with nothing but dunes surrounding her. But then she followed her mother to a few fields. It turned out that her mother wasn't really wild, but she wasn't really that tame. The tender of those fields had befriended her, and she helped him out a few times. Gypsy was puzzled, and stayed a good distance away from her mother when she worked.
The field tender was kind to Gypsy, and fed her often. She came to find that they lived on the very fringes of the desert, close to one of the rare oasis that sprang up here and there. Gypsy was a free spirit, and the field tender did not wish to put her to work. She was glad. She probably would've thrown him if he tried to put anything, including his own body weight, onto her back.
When she turned to her filly age, about 2.5 at the time, her mother became ill. From what she did not know, and there was no other beings in the land to go to for help. Besides the field tender. And he came. When Gypsy appeared confused and frightened, he came. When he saw her mother, he tried everything that he could to help her. But, in the process of something odd, ended up killing her instead.
Without her mother, what would she do? She was angry at the man for not being able to save her mother, even though a smaller part of her seemed to scream, "There was nothing he could do!" at her. Angered and confused, she left the man with her now dead mother. After that, she roamed the desert, not happy that she didn't have anybody to speak with, like she did with her mother. She had lost her only known parent figure and her closest friend.
Soon, she came upon a small group of equines living together in their own little herd. She joined, and has been there since, living in the little oasis surrounded by others that she may speak with and strike up many good friendly relationships with.
