Name: Ishraq
Gender: Mare
Age: 2004 (5yrs)
Breed: American Mustang
Height: 14.0 hands
Herd: N/A
Appearance: Ishraq is often described as the diamond in the rough. Behind her hardcore personality and gruesome actions, she is actually a head turner. Her uniquely colored buckskin coat glimmers when hit by the sun correctly. A somewhat tangled and uneven black mane completes the typical American Mustang image. She will often keep her tail short by painfully getting it caught in a large limb and pulling until it rips part of it off. Along with this interesting exterior, she is also short. Standing only 14 hands, many people find it easy to pick on this mare.

Personality: Ishraq is the character that most people try to avoid. She may not be the tallest horse around, but she is 14 hands full of power. When she was just a yearling she nearly killed a young stallion with her unbelieveable kick. She gets angered very easy, and usually does not forgive or forget. When she is with another horse not fighting them, it is usually another character life herself. She has been described as selfish and introvert, but she does not think of herself like this.
History: Ishraq has always been a wild horse, and has never been within 100 feet of a human without galloping away in fear. Born to a little known herd many miles away, she was furious when her father, alpha of the herd, and her mother, also the alpha, informed her that only a son of their's could take the place of her father in running the herd. So, upon reaching the age of around 2, she quickly set out on her own. In hopes of finding a herd, she continues to travel around searching for a soul mate that can handle her fearless spirit and her many issues within herself.
Sample Post:
Anger had begun to suffuse Ishraq, and she had no idea why. She hated it when these random outbreaks of emotion controlled her every action and movement. Perhaps she was this way today because she had been wandering for hours with lush grass and little water along the trip. Perhaps it was the fact that she now had a noticable bite mark on her rump from a fight she had started earlier against a stallion, even though she knew she wouldn't win.
She angrily stomped along through the vast lands and eventually the deathly glaze of the sun turned into the chilling wind of the night. It was definately not safe for a mare as small as herself to wandering through the desert at night, but she wasn't afraid. Situations that appeared to most as dangerous became a thrill to the young mare.
Familiar noises of the long desert night began. A small fox swiftly made its way across the cool sand, not even noticing Ishraq and her angered actions. A rattlesnake, which made Ishraq's ears perk up, slithered slowly after its prey, leaving a trail behind.
It was obvious that it would be hours more until Ishraq would be to her final destination. One of the most nourising places to be found around these dry parts. It was an adequately sized lake that acted as a solace to the mammals who visited it. Complete with lush grassland and trees to shade out the desert sun, she knew she would love it there.
As she straggled on, each step of her heavy hooves seemed to be a challenge. Could she travel on like this for much longer? Maybe she should stop and take a break. However, that would pose risk of something getting her in the middle of the night.
(I didn't really know how to end this...lol...please excuse the lameness. :] )
